Saif chairs International Security Alliance meeting

Abu Dhabi: Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on Monday chaired in Abu Dhabi a meeting for the Ministers of Interior of countries who are members in the International Security Alliance (ISA).

The meeting approved a number of projects presented by the alliance’s technical team that concern boosting cooperation, consolidating relations in the field of protection from cyber threats and ways to bolster preventive proactive measures from transnational crimes of extremism and terrorism.

Member countries exchanged views and discussed ways to combat organised crime and monitor borders. The 2018 road map was approved for a number of topics and vital international projects implemented by the specialised technical teams of member countries to strengthen the security and safety of member nations, in a way that complements their interests, unifies concepts of security and joint coordination pertaining to expertise in security and crime.

The ministers and officials reviewed a 2017 summary on the alliance’s activities.

The ISA member countries are the UAE, France, Italy, Spain, Senegal, Bahrain and Morocco. Singapore joined the ISA on Monday.
